But ending an illegal and inhuman practice can't be a negative thing. We're better off with those terrorists being free than we are making ourselves terrorists by kidnapping innocent people. We may not have them now, because the world is asleep, but we'll gain legitimate enemies that way and we'll be the terrorists and innocents caught in the wide net. You can't detain anyone without "sufficient evidence". The only sufficient evidence to continue to detain someone is a guilty plea or a trial.
