"start watching anime and read manga in japanise!"

very good video

Excellent! Thank you very much. I don't approach my Japanese study with the idea that I will do this and that and then I will be able to speak Japanese. I have been studying through a dozen different paths for two years now and I can say it is a vast mountain I climb. This being said your video was very refreshing because you really broke down what you have been doing and your experience with different resources.

外国人は漢字がとても難しいと言われますが、実は漢字は日本人で
も中国人でも難しいのです。ちなみに自分は日本人です。皆漢字は 苦手分野だがある程度は書ける。特に日常的に使われている漢字な ら皆何でも書けます。ただ古い漢字等、まったく使われていない漢 字などは専門的な人でないかぎりほとんどの人が書けないでしょう 。なぜなら漢字は数え切れないほどあるからです。 -
Check out LingQ.

iPads or iPhones make a great substitute for electronic dictionaries. All you Need is to get the morons app and turn on simplified chinese as an input. Then you can draw any kanji you don't know :)

Oh god, that is almost EXACTLY what I thought/imagined the first time I ventured into a コンビ二 and saw all the Crunky bars. でもね、Crunkyはホントウに恋しいなところですぅww But let's be honest, Crunky is pretty damn awesome.

@TheAcidoProductions I use a macbook pro, but it's irrelevant. Any computer will work.

Hey, thanks for the name drop, but I didn't do the Tae Kim spreadsheet, I just took someone else's effort and put it in an Anki deck. Speaking of which, there are many other spreadsheets for the books you showed (UBJG, 2001KO, All about the Particles, etc) on the koohii forums. Usually, access are given to them by a showing a some proof of ownership of that book.
Good vid and sorry for the late response.

@NukeMarine Hey! I've taken a lot of my self-study methods from stuff you have posted on the koohii forms, so thanks! I recently got the JSPEC spreadsheet off koohii, and have started doing that. I decided to do it before 2001KO. Thanks for watching, and all the advice!

Hey RisuMiso, how about the sounds?
how did you learn that? :O
Because in the book remembering the kanji it says it does not teach sounds O.O

@Victor00Lopez I learn the readings by putting sentences from native material into ANKI. I look the word up in a dictionary and learn the readings in context. I just learn words, I don't bother trying to learn kun and on yomi readings by themselves because I think it's pretty pointless.
