Promotional clip for David Bridie's song "Wires" from his 2003 album "Hotel Radio".
The song was written by David together with Nick Littlemore of Pnau.
It's another of the wonderfully expansive, hypnotic recordings that have become Bridie's trademark, featuring David himself on keyboards, Phil Wales on guitar and Phil Slater on muted trumpet.
The "Hotel Radio" album was produced by Nick Littlemore and David Bridie.
Clip directed by acclaimed Australian film maker Rolf de Heer (also used as backdrop for the song during David's live shows).

Wires (David Bridie/Nick Littlemore)
the whispering wires
you can hear them sing
they sway in the danger
and they shake with the wind
and the sound is, a whisper in motion
it breathes and it rings just get me out of here
they pass on the desperate commercial enquiries, the gossiping words
the tears they will melt through the cables
the cables and wires
they all flow on down the line
walk long the highway
6pm Friday, windy afternoon
reclusive and quiet, must get out of here
away to the place,
to the lonely place, just get me out of here
