Anderson can be a good box-to-box player, lots of energy, strength and carries the ball well charging forward but he lacks the defensive know-how to be ever handed any sort of defensive responsibilities. He's a bit of a liability to be honest. Has no clue what kind of positions to take up when we don't have the ball.
He is literally nowhere near Lucas' level in that respect. Lucas is a beast, we could do with someone like him at Utd. Maybe De Rossi will join up!

Should be Carrick and Cleverley in my opinion.. Neither Fletcher, Cleverley or especially Anderson have the defensive nous to keep dangerous AM's at bay.. You seen yourself, even before Evans got sent off and effectively ruined our chances of getting back into the game, that Anderson and Fletcher might as well not even been there the way Silva was roaming around with all the space he needed to tear us apart.
Just doesn't happen with Carrick in the side.
