James Samuel "Cornbread" Harris Plays "In the Mood" Jazz Piano Live

The legendary James "Cornbread" Harris performs "In the Mood" at the downtown street fair called Mill City Farmer's Market on July 10, 2010. This video was recorded with a handheld Nikon S8000 in HD and stereo. The crowd noises, wind sounds, and erratic camera movements lend a sense of place and time to the amazing vitality of Harris' piano playing. I captured his fingering on some memorable runs and riffs. The 82 year old Harris has a lot to teach us all, but more importantly, he is a premiere entertainer, with a lifetime of love and music coursing through his keyboard in masterful handfuls of notes.
