The reason for their pain and suffering is because blacks and the media complained about slavery and the civil war even though most of the the people who fought the war and their slaves had all been dead for at least 100 years or more. Government and the media and universities made sure that Whitey would pay. It's called guilt by skin color. In other words reverse racism.
