South PITTSBURG (no H) is my hometown! where im at right now! come to the 14th Annual Nation C-bread Festival this April 24-25!

And when they're tired of tasing them, they can taste them too. LOL

Anyone who loves cornbread would be in heaven at that festival. The sign on the wall is over "Cornbread Alley". Eight to ten local organizations come up with a unique cornbread recipe (from the typical with added veggies and flavorings to cornbread desserts)and they compete for the best recipe. Festival-goers get to tase them too.

Yummy, homemade cornbread.

Yes bring on the road trip, Cotton has had a rough year in these parts, too hot and too dry

You're very kind.
Up next I may bore you with last year's road trip through Memphis and Tunica. There are some good shots of cotton fields and the Mississippi River, plus the casino lights and Beale St. at twilight.
I grew up just down the road from there and have always wanted to go see the Cornbread Festival. LOL Good video! -Jim

Thanks! It's coming up again this spring. I feel a road trip in my future. IMHO you should make plans to go. Good food, crafts, music and a wonderful small town atmosphere.

I've driven through in non-festival times. Most recently on my way to Huntsville. It did seem quiet, but that's not a bad thing. Being from a big city, I enjoy visiting more laid-back places.
