Another great vid. You look like you're carrying some kind of futuristc raygun :)

One question I have, does the mic sit on top and plug into the hd1000's mic port and start recording sound as soon as you press record on the camera? thanks

to: system16, You go inside the HD1000 Camera and change settings to external Mic, then save it. 2 seconds latter your good to go. Once u press record the Mic has already synced with the camera sound and video H.264 works together seemlessly. Works easy and NO NEED to read the manual if your already TECH SAVVY.

Hey how can you add the mic to the HD1000 look like the mic came with jeck 3.5 nbut the hd1000 has smaller hole please let me know how it work together?

i got Rode VideoMic and hd1000 but can't get them to work together.

Does the mic show up in frame while shooting? It seems to protrude quite a bit over the lens of the camera.

yeah thats why i took mine back lol it doesnt have a very good mic built in to the camra
