Based on my one-shot ATTWN fanfic 'Goodbye, Vera' (link:http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3360943/1/Goodbye_Vera) which in turn is based off the Agatha Christie classic 'And Then There Were None'. For those who are not interested in reading my fanfic, here's the story:
SPOILERS FOR THE ACTUAL BOOK!!!

Hugo is at Vera's funeral and looks back on all the times he and Vera shared together before she drowned his nephew, Cyril. In case you haven't read the book, Vera kills Cyril because she wanted to marry Hugo, but couldn't because he didn't have enough money to support a family (this was during the Great Depression, you see); the family fortune had gone over to Cyril and once Cyril died, Hugo would inherit his fortune. So Vera allowed Cyril to swim out to sea and drown so Hugo would inherit the money, but at the inquest, Hugo took one look in Vera's eyes, realized what really happened, and dumped her. Four years later, the events of the novel took place and Hugo told the murderer about Cyril's drowning and his suspicions about Vera, which ultimately led up to Vera going to Indian Island (the name of the island might be different depending on your edition), going insane with guilt while watching eight other people die within four days, and hanging herself (note: the video does not show her doing this because 1) I couldn't figure out how to pull it off in Sims 2, and 2) I thought I'd simply put in a photo that made it look like she was standing on a chair, but long story short, that didn't work out). Hugo cries at the end because after looking back on the times he and Vera shared together, he finally allows himself to grieve and accept the fact that he was--and still is--in love with her.
