Talking about Rwanda and learning about the genocide makes me so incredibly sad and ashamed that I didn't know about it when it was going on and that I didn't do anything, but then I remember that I was less than a year old at the time. It doesn't really help, though.

A man from Rwanda came to my school not long ago. His family was killed when he was ten years old. He hid in a hole in the woods and barely escaped death because there was a large snake in it.

If the vlobrothers are still going this strong in 2015 i hope that there is something like this for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide

It's incredible that now, with the situation in Libya, people are standing up and spreading the word and saying 'Hey, we care about you, and we are proud of you for sticking up for your rights!' If this isn't a sign of progress, I'm not sure what is.

@o00harris00o actually it's from the Bible
okay, i'm briefly addressing all the previous comments of people not understanding the concept of lighting candles for Rwanda.
it isn't to stop the violence.
the 100 days of genocide happened 15 yrs ago. we are a bit late for that.
the candles are meant to show that we care, that we're sorry that we were blindsided to what had happened.
instead of bitching just to seem better than everyone, i'm going to show that i care.
I'm Jordan Morris. I'm am going to light a candle for Rwanda.
