2012 Australia Day Flashmob for Lifeline

With the current craze of Flashmobs happening around the world, Lifeline Northwest NSW introduced this social media phenomenon to the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2012.

Lifeline Flashmob teams appeared daily and unannounced throughout the Festival, sneaking up on many locals and visitors at shopping centres in the Peel Street Mall, and at several concert venues. Around 60 regular Flashmob members were in on the secret, and enjoyed breaking out with other line dance members in the signature "Cha Cha Slide" dance theme.

Lifeline Northwest NSW Flashmob initiative was supported by the Peel Valley LIONS Club, Chris Watson & his team of line dancers from across Australia, Travelworld Tamworth and Network Communications Tamworth. Special thanks to Noel Sadler and his team from Skip Film Productions who worked on this YouTube project to promote Lifeline and positive emotional wellbeing messages.
