@redimail Probably to divert the rain, using a drain system would be inefficient for such a large surface. But yeh definitely a redesign is needed, I've seen children chase balls all the way to the edge.

@HoopsEntertainment She should get nothing putting her child in danger like that.. if you watch it closely it looks like she did it on purpose.. probably to try to get a payout. If you got a kid in a stroller.. hold it .. duh... doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure that out.

looks like she purposefully did it to me... and the no-reaction time while the train is coming in... It looks like she was endangering her own kids life to try to get a payout.

@redimail its not sloped. it was very windy that day. i forgot where i saw the long news story about this but they showed the wind pushing the stroller earlier and the mom pulling the stroller back.

The baby survived unharmed.

water runoff, but i understand what you're saying@redimail

Every platform is sloped with big gaps between the platform and the train.. It has always been that way. Crap.

@bigbother1 lol!

ABSOLUTELY!
We can put drainage in the center of the platform and then carry it to storm sewer easily. There's no need to have it sloping toward the train. It can lead to these accidents as well as people tripping into the train's path.
My question is "Why is the platform sloped towards the rails and not away from the tracks??!!"
I suggest a rethink on the design of all railway platforms.
