My ex-gf was a devoted fan. I think it was in 1997 they played Letchworth, then the Beer Festival in London Olympia and, lastly, another venue about 250 miles from London. Apart from Olympia, the sound quality was excellent. The group would also come out into the concert hall and meet the fans after a show, so I took the chance to take my gf to meet her heroine, Maddy Prior. There was only time to have a quick chat about the concert, but it was nice that she and the others made the effort.

Maddy Prior - quite a powerful and expressive voice. Extremely unique! This is not a good representation of her fine voice. Not her fault, fault of the live miking, the lack of boost, and as I recall from a news clipping of the time, under the weather as well..

She hasnt lost her voice i was there she was suffering a sore throat!! but like a true proffesonal the show must go on...
