One of the foundations of the massacre myth is based on the book which is called "What War Means", edited by Harold Timperley. But he was an advisor to the Chinese Nationalist government’s Ministry of Information. The section was propaganda section which was established by KMT (Kuomintang, Chiang Kai-shek) in China during the War. Timperley was paid by the propaganda section for writing the book.
China created the Nanking Massacre story and spread the rumor to the world.

The Nanjing massacre never happened. It's all lies lies lies. I wish it had though because the world would be a better place with less chinks.

For those who don't believe Nanking Massacre was true, let me tell u something, George Ashmore Fitch, American, was one of those who documented most of the images during Nanking Massacre and provided witness statement in courts. In fact, a lot of the witnesses testifying the massacre was true weren't even Chinese but foreign professors or missionaries. Why would they make up these stories? Why would our grandparents fool us with fake stories?
