seriously, how the HELL do they make this shit? it's completely incomprehensible to me how this music is produced.

this is the most insane shit in the world. autechre and chris cunningham are all geniuses.

i need the help of a autechre fan ; did somebody know what kind of machine they use to make this "freeze" sound effect (especially at 00.58 min), i think that its an over-feedbacked delay but im not sure;
if somebody know , please answer me !!

you might be right. another way to achieve a similar effect (probably easier too) is to just stretch out the length of a sound using resampling so it causes that stuttering effect. if they had used a half second sample of a synth and lengthened it to several seconds, you would get that result, or something close.

probably just editing it themselves. or max/MSP . .. could be anything.

Weirdsville13: imo granular synthesis with a real-time tweaking. actually there's a lots of layered tweaking motion on that. it's like a huge sound puzzle. amazing stuff.

I'm almost certain that's major feedbacked delay, you're right. I managed to create some VERY similar sounds earlier today on Logic Pro 9 earlier today with Latched modification
