Police in San Jose, California are testing head-mounted cameras to record interactions with the public. As AP's Haven Daley reports, the test comes as citizens' groups criticize the department for too often using force during arrests. (Dec. 28)

  • Yeah- and the cops are a lot nicer with the cameras on too.

  • This will be great when we argue our constitutional rights with police who have never been required to learn them. Lot's of cops will be losing their jobs soon.

  • @KANEIForMe Lets have a third party server store all video by police. Guess what over 3000 videos are missing from Seattle Police Department and they are saying "Fuck You" citizen.

  • just more human technology integration

  • @sincerelyskeptical The cameras are for the Police Department to review so they can work out a plausible defense after interviewing witnesses, then the video is destroyed under Copely v. Superior Court and the Police Officer's Bill of Rights. They can't trust the lying cops and need to see what they did to build a proper defense. The Officers are then coached to right matching reports. On one shooting I saw 34 revisions as I took the revised reports back and forth.

  • @KANEIForMe Four San jose cops and 8 construction workers desended on a 140 lb. Japanese Mentally ill Homeless man they claimed robbed a tool shack. There was no burglary or theft. The cops had Nightsticks, mace, and tasers and Police Dog. They approached him with the ear mounted video Cams. A cop who had been shot in The Middle East in the service and again by a fellow Officer by accident opened fire and killed the victim. The video disappeared.

  • @KANEIForMe i screamed the same thing at the screen when they said that

  • i wish i had a less noticeable version of these so that i would never forget a single moment

  • I would like to see a law in place to ensure that the tax payers who are paying for this hardware will have guaranteed access to the footage if they request it. I've heard of multiple instances where dash cam footage goes "missing" when it contains evidence that is damaging to an officer's defense.

  • @Joker25x Um, how? Lots of cops harass people who do no wrong. Authority, from giant corporations to big, greedy government, is bullshit.

  • @KANEIForMe you r an idiot

  • lol i wrote music for this show (POV-PD)
