@mcv47 so it didn't work look he doesn't have a strong economy behind him like bush or anybody else give him some credit for at least trying that's what it's going to take to fix it somebody has got to start chancing it or else how are you going to get out of this mess. and another thing this problem with fannie and freddie was not his doing anyway he is trying his best he's been handed a bad deck of cards.

@TheBobby1979 You are repeating the same tired liberal talking points - it took us 8 years, etc. The economy may not have been great but the stimulus stimulated nothing. Cash for clunkers was an epic fail. The lack of doing something about Fannie and Freddie have ruined the housing market. Whatever has been tried hasn't worked and has only made things worse. Unemployment is going up and the stock market is going down. The hopey changey isn't working out so well.

@TheBobby1979 Bush should have used the veto pen more often when the Dems took over Congress. You have to remember though that we were also dealing with the aftermath of 9-11 and what it did to the travel and hospitality industries as well as mass transportation. We also had Katrina and other natural disasters which were also very expansive. However, since 2007, our spending has increased by multitudes. It has to stop.

@TheBobby1979 I am 63 and watch the news VERY closely. This recession has lasted longer than any other due to the policies coming from the left. You can't spend your way out of debt. Imagine that you are overdrawn at the bank so you start using a credit card to cover the losses. However, your expanses aren't keeping up with your credit line so you start borrowing from friends until they refuse to lend you any more. What is your option? Decreasing expenses comes to mind-the well is dry.

@mcv47 yea i went to that site you told me to go to one trillion is a hell of debt that might take more than just a few years to pay off.

@mcv47 oh yes we as the middle class people suffer from their mistakes we are not the top one percent they should have never bailed those companies out some companies gave raises while people lost their home i myself have seen and been exposed to this it is not i good feeling. MONEY is the root of all evil in AMERICA people are so GREEDY that MILLION&TRILLIONS are not enough. and it's sad that the working class,poor class have to suffer.

@mcv47 and your right about the borrowing from everybody else all i can say is that america will get out of it in time but will they or should i say the banking industry and othere's involved learn a lesson if not this great county we call AMERICA will eventually wound up like MEXICO. this should be a good lesson to those that as my mom and dad use to say what do you think money grows on trees or do you think i got a money tree.

@mcv47 32 how old are you remember when i said it's going to take some time or years to fix it. it's not all about the president playing golf but stopping people like goldmen sacks and other banking giants from ruining america. also remember when i said it was going to take a lot of money it looks like they might have to keep running those press machines.
