I agree. The van driver was an absolute moron for evading the police and endangering his children like that. Stupid ass should have his kids taken away.

Most states have regulations that allow for a driver to find the safest place to pull over (which is what this driver was doing). Slowing down and using your turn signal is a pretty good sign that you aren't evading police. The policewoman here should be given more than a wrist slap for her unjustified actions. And the guy is taking it pretty well for only asking for money to pay for the damages...he could have gone for a lot more.

Some of these people who've been given badges are just looking for reasons to throw weight around, to feel powerful. This is what happens when you authorize someone to go around making decisions about other private individuals behavior and respond with force. This "officer" needs to face real consequences, the guy really should make a case out of this.
