Ichimaru Gin took on Captain Hitsugaya quite easily.

He immobilized Ishada (Who beat a captain's Bankai, Although, because of that was weak at the time), Ganju, Orihime, and Chad JUST BY LOOKING AT THEM. These may have been weak-at-the-time characters, but still.

So far all he has used is his Shikai. Not a Bankai yet, though he has one.

He was considered a child Prodigy and killed a lieutenant (Or an officer, forget which) at as a child.

Lets not forget how he DESTROYED a VIZARD in seconds.

@charmie3036 He is and it´s not just the name, either. They are both smooth talkers and fast on their feet in combat. Oh, and let´s not forget the habit of creeping people out just for the fun of it... personally I can see where they´re coming from. Some of the reactions really are priceless. ^.^

@DungeonsandDragons89 I'm convinced it's because Gin understood just what kind of monster Aizen was, and how efficient he was. I think he felt that he needed to become a monster, become something that Aizen would completely trust, so that he could put all of his hope into his Bankai. I think Gin felt that nobody would ever stand a chance against Aizen not with his power and control, so he had to take control carefully and slowly.

That's only what I think, though.

@MyMusicchick Ya I don't understand that either. Unless he was trying to see what Aizen was doing. Maybe it gave suspense that three Captains went to Hueco Mundo and were going to destroy Karakura Town, then towards the end of the Arrancar Arc, we find out that Gin had known the way to get out of the hipnosis of Kyouga Sougetsu all along and we think he has the Hogyoku. I don't know, it's just my thought but I really think there's something wrong with Kubo to not have Gin do something sooner.
