This is a short film of myself making a Sodium Fusion test, which can be used to identify N, S, and X(halide) of an unknown compound. A sodium metal was heated in a test tube until vapors started to rise. Then, about 10 mg of the unknown into the test tube and a reaction occurs. When that test tube was placed in distilled water, the test tube cracks and fills the beaker with water with the sodium fusion solution.
