What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

I love you tracie you are my atheist princess!! Ha ha! But really found you guys when I was on my own I guess you could call it quest for an understanding if god was real or just my own fear of burning in eternal hellfire for not wanting to believe in a book that was most definitely (if god were real) not gods word. Man created the bible therefore even if god were real christanity would be wrong!! Because it has been construed by the thoughts and beliefs of man!!

Just had to say. That was very respectful. I had to leave well enough alone with a similar convo I had with my mother over God's existence,morality, what the bible actually says,etc. But she would always conclude with her personal experience, that to her, whatever that was, is what is keeping everything together. Thats their proof. It pointless to contest a "bright light" moment. Although we can rationalize it as a moment of clarity. It was still a supernatural event that took place

Thankfully, most people in this world, even if they are religious, do not take their morality from holy scripture. I thank the God I don't believe in for that. Peace.

@grady1610 But HOW do you know? Can you explain this? It's like saying I KNOW that aliens are out there. When asked to show HOW I know, I just say, "I KNOW". This is not an argument, it is the LACK of an argument. I have much more respect for people who simply say that they believe but that they can't show it.
