Chris O'Brian, author of Drink Beer, Save the World, discusses what exactly makes a beer organic and explains the differences in flavor of various beers and ales from IPAs to English Bitters.
It's a journalistic piece, supposed to be informing us about a subject that is the group/company's reason for being (organic food & drink) - they got many, many things quite wrong, that they had seemingly stated as fact. That said I do applaud their enthusiasm & the presentation skills were good & any reasonably intelligent presentation of decent beer is sorely lacking, so kudos for that, but should I be uncritical? Obviously, I feel the answer is no.
I noticed that you left "Still enjoyed it!" but managed to bash the entire clip. Why? These people put things on here so others can enjoy them. Do you have any other positive comments?
Poorly researched. Organic beer=lots of b-vits, magnesium&potassium? More than non-organic beer? Wheat beer sweet? Not normally. Hops 1 of 4 main ingredients, yet no comment about ")only)some organic beers have organic hops"? Wheat doesn't give banana, clove, etc, German yeasts do. Confuses terms 'keg' & 'cask' & doesn't explain 'real ale' well. "Belgian beer 1st brewed by monks in the middle ages"? - so no beer in Belgium before then? Still enjoyed it!
