@Marioboy1011 This is a standard for all of the United States, and the "left turn yield on circle green" phases will eventually be replaced with these flashing yellow arrows. There is also the option for a flashing red arrow if the driver needs to come to a full stop before turning.... and also flashing right turn arrows if the situation warrants.

Here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland we have 4 signals that you have to yield on flashing red arrow (332 and 50 by hotel, 8-18 intercetion in Kent Island, by storage in Cambridge and 404-480). I find flashing yellow arrow signals are safer than doghouse signals and left turn signals.

I really like these new lights. Traffic flow seems to have improved.

I also like the new LEDs you are using. Is there anyway to purchase one of the old 3M lights that you removed for collectors use?

@pessia61 It's just a evolution of the doghouse signal...which also weren't any better for pedestrians. Honestly, these flashing yellows are replacing mostly doghouse signals rather than left turn signals.

@pessia61 - No more dangerous than a pedestrian crossing in an intersection without a signal.

good idea. only problem i have with it is i am constantly getting cut off in my semi.

This puts pedestrians in danger IMO. The driver turning has to check too many things to be safe. Just wait until it's green.
