COMPLETELY agree! Why did folks hate this film so much? It's brilliant! If you haven't read the book yet, I highly recommend it. It's wonderful!

Good review to a great film..
I think Jeliza-Rose killed both parents, she made and gave them their vacations.. she was teh smart one in teh family..

Nicely articulated, a very good review. I loved this film despite all the negative reviews. Jodelle Ferland's performance is flawless and beautiful. Guilliam's second best I think after Brazil.

how did you get to watch them film a movie
i was going to go see a movie being filmed in LA but it said that people arent aloud to see movies being filmed anymore

I LOVED Tideland and all Terry Gilliam's films. I love films that take me completely out of any predictability and away from commercial cliches. This film was a mindfck but a strangely wonderful intense one. The little girl should have been given a BEST ACTRESS OSCAR. Absolutely incredible performance. Terry please keep making these original works of art. The non-comformist need you.
