I agree. If family is able to provide and take care of an ederly member, they should not be forced out there home into a nursing home. While being able to live longer in a loving heart warming environment.

I agree with Conchy, not all seniors should be placed in a nursing home. Seniors can receive quality care while at home.

One of the most difficult things for older individuals is being forced out of their own home and into a nursing home. So, assisted living can really offer a big help for seniors to stay in the place where they wish to spend their final years. The availability of technological assistive devices such as the Just5 Easyphone, which features PERS, is another thing that can be recognized by the elderly to assist them in their day to day life.

Thank you. Many new options to care for the elderly will be needed as the population ages. We need additional solutions that serve those that are not so financially fragile. Could we find a way to assist seniors before they are forced into other expensive housing alternatives? How can families be kept from being impoverished trying to provide private care for their elderly family members? Are there any financial incentives that will enable all concerned to work together?
