Very very nice design and explaination. What type of "waste oil" are you using. I seem to remember that automotive oils can contain additives that when burned can give off toxic fumes. How do you plan on dealing with it. Keep the videos coming.

@MGARestoration I am using waste oil out of various vehicles. I haven't experienced any negative effects from toxic fumes, nor have I heard of that prior to your comment. I only run it outdoors where there's plenty of ventilation mainly because of the heat generated. Getting the right mixture ratio requires a few minutes of fiddling with the controls and during this time the oil can produce quite a bit of smoke. Once adjusted, it burns pretty clean. I would recommend only using fossil-based oil

Nice set up, I like your forge set up. what did you use to insulate the melting tank?
definca 2 years ago
The tank walls are 3" thick with 1-1/2" Kaewool insulation and 1-1/2" cast in place refractory.
Thanks for the comment.

nice setup,
i read that if the flames would enter the combustion chamber at a tangent, it will give a swirl at the base of the crucible, using parallel lines to cut the nozzle, or is it unnecessary .

It does enter the combustion chamber at a tangent for the reason you stated. The final nozzle was cut at a parallel to the inside in the chamber. I hope I understood the question correctly. Thanks for the nice comment.
