Our Kitchen Makeover - 2010

Inspired by HGTV, this is our 2010 Spring Break makeover of our 20 year old kitchen - no more butterfly wall paper, formica countertop, and vinyl flooring. We painted walls, installed granite counters, glass tile backsplash, laminate ('travertine') flooring, custom roll-out shelves in cabinets and pantry, cabinet knobs, and window blinds. Granite counters and backplash installation by DFW Granite (www.dfwgranite.com); custom rollout shelving by Kitchens Alive (www.kitalive.com); Flooring and window blinds by Home Depot (www.homedepot.com); Appliances by Samsung/Lowes (www.lowes.com); decorations from HomeGoods, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Container Store.
