Finally! The long-awaited first video of Oliver, World's Best Dog! The plot's a little thin, the characterization is overly-subtle, and the action takes a while to really get moving, but like any good movie, it does have a beginning, middle and end.
After this film was finally in the can, the star commented that the whole effort was so stressful that he needed to "get away from all the hassle and aggravation for a while." Nevertheless, we hope he'll agree to participate in the making of "Oliver! The Sequel" someday soon.
Please, lets have more Oliver videos, he was born to be a star!!!

Hooray for Oliver's film debut! Such deep energy and passion in every movement and non-movement. I hope we'll see lots more of Oliver's fine work. The voiceover wasn't bad, either.

I experienced it as a meditation, it brought to the quieted mind other films, Kurosawa's dream sequences combined with the signature Merchant Ivory lushness of coloration, and yet, inexplicably also a touch of Woody Allen's later work. I'm very excited, I want to run out and get a dog. We've never had a dog, everyone says it's like having a two year old who never grows up, why I want that? But Oliver - I could handle a Wonder dog like Oliver!

Wow! Terrific directing job. Really admired the crafty pacing and thoughtful development of the plot, and was bowled over by the subtle climax and stunningly unexpected denouement of this heart-warming tail/tale. Bravo! Encore! Can't wait for the sequel--will he roll over and fall off the chair?
PS: somehow missed the title of your epic production. Was it called "Retirement"?
