The first project created by David Robertson and Theodore Hamilton under the name of New Ham Productions. This short movie was a class project in which we had to recreate and reconstruct the characteristics and techniques of a particular film movement. The movements we could choose ranged from german expressionism on up through modern, indy film. "The Apple and the Eyes" recreates the French New Wave movement through its guerilla filming style and jump cut editing. The story revolves around two friends who love the same girl, who in the end chooses to leave the one she's currently with to be with the the other. All the music is credited to Pel de Noz and the french band Orange Macadam. Theodore Hamilton plays the Left Eye, David Robertson plays the Right Eye, and the lovely Brenda Shelton shines as the Apple.
