you'll probably know John Allan then, up at Phones

Thanks bud. I actually like Ardberg 10yr old. I know the Spey region and products pretty well, having visited for 37+ years ( I'm based in Leeds).
Dallas Moor is the most beautiful part of Brit Isles.
Scotland is, I think only just waking up to it's world-class shooting sports, a marvellous renewable resource able to generate £M's. Cheers

From my experience, Macallan tours give you a bl**dy good glass full at the end whereas most others you tend tae get a wee thimble full.

The distilleries are restircted by law on how much they can "give away". For whisky on tours think about Aberlour or Balvenie. They do charge for the tours but then you get 6 or 7 drams (each 25ml). Most distilleries offer paid for tours (including the Macallan) and these tend to offer full measures of whiskies from their range
