In the description for my blind run on the game's final boss, I said "And that finishing attack would make Kamen Rider Double CycloneJokerXtreme proud. Speaking of Double and this game... I'll get back to it later. Perhaps.", right? Well, here I am getting back:

The five or so people who have switched to the Japanese voice track out of sheer curiosity or because they inexplicably prefer Drummond or Griffith over Smith or whatever have inevitably noted that the announcer for the Wisp powers was redubbed. Fans of the Kamen Rider franchise will instantly recognize said announcer as Fumihiko Tachiki... out of the fact that he says them in the EXACT same way he announces the names of the Gaia Memories in Kamen Rider W! Cue jokes about the Laser, Drill, Rocket, Cube, Hover, Spikes and Frenzy Dopants.

But most importantly, because of that, the Final Color Blaster effectively becomes a love letter of sort to Double's CycloneJoker Xtreme mode (which is analoguous to Super Sonic). In fact, though I can't note it visually, it (probably) IS: said move was redubbed in Japanese as the "Final PRISM Blaster" and Double CJX's sword and shield which he/they use(s) to make people taste the rainbow too by combining colors too are known combined as the PRISM Bicker!

There, have this comparison video of the Final Color Blaster, Final Prism Blaster and CycloneJoker Extreme's debut; just take note of the announcing and rainbow-tasting.

  • i need an outside opinion: my friend keeps saying that the person that announces the color powers is not sonic. but i think it is!! thumbs up if u agree with me!!

  • @turquoisethehedgehog

I disagree, because A. in Generations, this would contradict Classic Sonic's muteness what with his rampant abuse of SPIKES and that mind-burning "dundundundundundun" beat that comes with it B. in Colors, why the fuck would Sonic announce attacks AGAINST him during the final boss?

  • @Pikawil64 no no not attacks against him!! Ok, lets say your in Starlight Carnival act 1 or something. You wanna use cube, and SOMONE says "cube!!." is that the announcer or sonic?

  • @turquoisethehedgehog

    A. Let's say you're in the final boss. Eggman uses the Cube attack, and SOMEONE says "CUBE!" Is that Eggman or Sonic?

    B. Let's say you're in Classic Planet Wisp in Sonic Generations. Classic Sonic is consistenly depicted as being a mute in the game. You wanna use Spikes, and SOMEONE says "SPIKES!". Since Classic Sonic is a mute, is that the announcer or (Classic) Sonic?

  • @TheOpoks get your sonic out of my kamen riders and ponies!

  • @shotarohidari26

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! No.

  • Anyone realize that the attack never shouted BOOST. You know, Yacker and his type of wisp. it was never featured in this boss battle which kinda sucks

  • @Pikawil64 Is it true that it is the same Japanese announcer who did Kamen Rider?
