I know what you mean. Barely a month ago, my grandfather passed through the River of Death, and I have no doubt he is with Christ at this moment, waiting for when the rest of my family will be reunited with him.
As you said, the way this portrays the Celestial Kingdom is not even 1/10th of 1% of how beautiful Heaven will be.

Praise God..May lord Jesus strenghten n help us to stand firm n faithfull for HIM till the end..
