Luiz Simas and his group performing an intoxicating Brazilian version of the American standard at the Birdland Jazz Club in New York. Luiz Simas (piano+vocals), "Sweet" Sue Terry (sax), Itaiguara (bass) and Adriano Santos (drums)
Carioca Gershwin! So original, and so obvious at the same time! Since the song was written, this was waiting to happen. It's a completely refreshing take on a classic that helps us hear it again as if for the first time, and perhaps really be touched by its timeless message: "Who could ask for anything more?"
Bravo to Luiz plus his group!
It is really great performance!!!!!

#2 What did I REALLY like about it? It was RELAXED. Everybody else seems to always try to blow us away on this tune.

Swingin'! I love the stretching out on the first 8 and then the coda where you got everybody into the act. Cool!
