I was just going to say the one dog that made him the most famous was Fay Wray.

I don't know that you can call Weimaraner's "fad" dogs, but i get the point you're bringing up. Currently i have 2 of them, have had 6 rescue ones as well. They are wonderful dogs, so long as you have 29 hours a day 9 days a week to be with them. Anytime someone approaches me on the street when I am walking them or at the park they say how they've always wanted one and almost every single time i talk the person out of that choice. They take a lot more work than most people can handle.

to blame the supposed damnation on a breed of dog on an artist is ridiculous.
i second ferallian.

and thats his fault?

I hope Wegman stays with his non-Weimaraner art. Wegman has HARMED this breed by making them a popular "fad" dog. People get one and THEN find out they are NOT easy dogs to own and required LOTS of exercise, time and attention. Thousands of Weims have been dumped on shelters and abandoned (and killed) by people who saw Wegman's photos and ran out and got a Weim. Weimaraners are not calm like in this video unless you give them hours of exercise or they are old. Damn you Wegman!

It is very, very ,very beautiful-petmarst Czech Republic
You have a good point.... much like the Dalmation craze, and Dalmation's are not good family dogs either...
but, it's not Wegman's fault that people are being irresponsible.

Weimaraners are great dogs for the right family. I am devoted to the Weimaraner breed and have had five over the past 30 years, but agree that some people can be irresponsible. "To err is human to forgive is canine."
