thats too improvised for my taste !
and there are missing several needed items !
who says u stay at home in case of disater?
better pack it all in a backpack with extra cloves and tools etc.
ohh and btw way do u realy think this is all gonna and after 3 days? i dont think so better plan for 3 months thats more likely !!!

One nice thing about this set up is that even if YOU don't need the kit, you CAN give it away as charity, either to a local homeless mission or other soup kitchen...OR in an actual emergency, if you're at your home and have your full pantry, you can give it to your not so prepared neighbors and hopefully they'll get the message to "prepare better next time, knuckle-head!" :) Or, you can feed the contents to your family over a period of time before it goes entirely bad.

i would not recommend giving anything away !!!
first u dont know if its realy ovr after 3 days ! i doubt it!
and the risk getting robbed skyrockets after everyone knows u r prepared this is endangering u and ur family !!!

The reason I find this an excellent solution is; Each person can carry, child or adult in a pinch, and nothing except prior planning is required and a clean, empty milk jug. Thanks.

Let's hope we don't need em.

peace :)

why don't you just put all that stuff into a backpack instead of a milk jug? if the pack is big enough you could also put in other stuff you need, like extra clothes, and probably havr room for that water bottle. And you'd have your hands free whle carrying a backpack. thats important for me since I have dogs.

I think it's a great vid, but don't think a whole pack of soup intended for 3 cups of watter, would be edible with only 8 ounces of water. That said you can buy single cup servings.

Thank you for taking the time to teach the rest of us.

Nice catch. I noticed after I filmed the video that I said it wrong. It's actually supposed to be one packet of soup split into two meals. So it would normally be 1 1/2 c. for that amount of soup and we'd just cut it down to 1. Not AS disgusting that way ;)
