had a v4 crossflow 88 evinrude on mine a few years ago. Due to the motor being extremely powerful for its size, the holeshot was spectacular, even with a 21' prop! whole different can of worms than a 13'. i could drive with 1 hand on the wheel at 52+ (gps top speed, 1 person, 12 gallons fuel, 75 degrees saltwater temp). of course it was set up properly.... solid motor mounts, dual cable, ect...

too all the people at are completely underestimating the 15 hull i say this:
The reasoon these chine - walk is because non-performace boaters either strap way too much power on the transom without using a short jackplate and dual cable steering, they dont have a clue how to drive, or are lying. One guy on here said his 13' does 50 mph LOL. the 15 is a whole different animal than a 13'. Ive been in one properly set up that rang 58-61 with a 115 and it was far safer than a poorly set up rig at 40!

What's the weight of you boat? I have a Fletcher with the same engine, but i have no idea which prop i need.
-
That Whaler looks far too nose up for my liking. BW puts max HP labels on their boats for a reason.
-
my jet ski does 87!
-
@DMV444 coll it would sink with 2 50 it aint got 250s on it my 150 is lightend and modded
-
@jjbird1023 My Whaler Sport 13 has triple Optimax 250s and does 166 mph pulling 3 skiers!
-
anybody wannna race me i got a 15ft boston with 150 WORKED it does 70 or you can race my skater that does 135mph

B.S !!!!!!! ( to 13 ft guy w/ 50 hp...) !3 foot Whalers chine walk with anything over, and including 40 hp....I had a '73, 13 w/ a '93 4 cyl. Merc. w/ T &T....Lots of fun and fast but it chine walked like a bitch wide open throttle,no matter the trim....... 15's are more fun because they don't pound as much....extra weight= the key....

@Newzchspy shut up
Not impressed at all, my 13' Whaler sport with a 50 HP Johnrude will run 50 and is a lot more fun than that 15. He must be propped HIGH too as that 15' was a dog out of the hole. Probably running a 23" pitch??

Running a 19 pitch prop. note that the boat is NOT a regular 15, it is a COMMERCIAL HULL, almost as heavy as a 17.

and the 48 mph is on a GPS, not gauge.
we used to have a 55 evinrude on my 13 foot. it would fly, u cloudnt go full with only one person on board.
