ive been trying to do this ive been using a hellraiser c1 fl with the active emgs and the split pickup on the neck pickup then into a mg 100 series hdfx i got the mids all the way got the lows about 10 o clock got the highs about4 o clock and the gain is at noon, and the contour is all the way up and the sound is not that good its a cool setting but its just coming out like a cheap sound

I bet I can get a Mesa/Boogie Mark IIc+ 1x12 combo to sound bigger and badder...
-
What song is he playing at 1:33?
-
with marshall's you need some pretty heavy pedals too, to get a metal gain sound. but what he is playing is pretty heavy gain for anything but metal.
-
Marshalls can definitely do high gain. He just need to turn up the pre amp volume even higher.
-
lol - that tone is far from high gain! get a peavey 6505! thats a high gain amp!
-
Check out that tricked out T5 in the background!!!

lol so Taylor is promoting a 'entirely new kind of guitar' but also says that there is ONLY Marshalls for tone. They join up with Elmwood!
The SolidBody initially started as a search for a new T5 model but morphed into the SolidBody because of the pickups. Those are protos you are seeing.
