Two B-1B Lancers depart the Long Beach Airport for the 2006 Rosebowl game fly by. Only one bone made the fly by. The AN-124 Ruslan was delivering a satellite for sea launch. Sorry about all the movement and annoying kids.

  • im sure this has been said before but those annoying kids will be looking after your freedom when your an old man and might even feed you when some old age malody strikes you down (unless they find old people annoying and then we are all f.....!!!!)

  • @Kodos13 Did I call it that? Dammit, got my plane names wrong. Well played.

  • @336kgf

An-225 is Mriya, NATO name 'Cossack'...

I think you mean that Mriya used to carry Buran, the Soviet shuttle orbiter.

  • hey i live by LB airport and iv'e seen this planes :)

    U.S. Army leads the way

    Hooah!

  • @rockymtnrob65 That is what the plane is called-the Ruslan. Just like the An-225 is called the Buran. Where the names come from exactly, I do not know, but that is what they are called.

  • @TheFlygt Uh...Coral Sea...Midway...Guadalcanal...Great Marianas Turkey Shoot...Phillipines...Leyte Gulf...need I say more? After Midway, the Japanese were never the same. The U.S. and her allies started kicking Japan's ass all the way to Tokyo and then some. The reason why the two bombs were dropped was because if the U.S. had to invade the Japanese mainland, there would have been millions of casualties. Truman agonized over the decision to drop the first one. The second one was inevitable.

  • @336kgf The Soviets were doing a pretty good job (albeit with massive casualties) and never forget the U.S. were losing against the japanese until the point they dropped two nuclear devices on Japanese civilians.

  • 2 words.. supersonic bomber. Win.

  • @rockymtnrob65 Ruslan is what the plane is named, just like the C-5 is called the Galaxy or the B1 is called the Lancer.

  • @TheFlygt I hate to interject on this conversation between you and the rest of the people posting here, but if it wasn't for the U.S. and her allies kicking Germany's ass all the way back to Berlin, the Nazis would still be in control of your nation. Sorry, had to say it. Got nothing against Norway personally.
