  • I like how a bunch of people came here expecting "Songs for a MAD king" to sound nice and pleasant....

Cmon people, it's supposed to be expressive...that doesnt necessarily mean beautiful.

  • Great!

  • This is... interesting...

  • great piece! thanks for the upload.

  • Just awful. Peter Maxwell Davies has no talent whatsoever.

  • Thank you for putting this up. I used to listen to this as a student and was always blown away both by the piece itself and by Eastman's amazing performance. It's a while since I heard it but I'm no less impressed.

  • Is this guy taking the piss? I think he is, he's trying to make pretentious people celebrate what is essentially a similar noise to a factory at full capacity playing Cheryl Cole on the radio. I mean, I know he say's that if you don't like his music it's because you're too thick to understand the melody but come on, it's not pleasant to listen to.

  • I wanted to hear this based solely on Eastman's performance and got quite the pleasant surprise! Thank you for sharing it!

  • Bravo! Cheers from Brazil

  • Oh dear what did I just stumble upon...
