It was inspired by Judy, but not meant to be an imitation. It was her own character based on many famous singers of the time, including Judy. The video is just slightly mislabeled, that's all. -from someone who was there...

It's of it's time... Perhaps lost in translation slightly, because we look at the performances tha Miss Channing is lampooning with such reverence. There were a number of these kind of shows with similar histories, Betty Hutton, Danny Kaye and Judy, so perhaps we only think of

Actually, the person she is mainly making fun of here is Betty Hutton, who followed Judy at the Palace. Hutton would always put a towel around her neck after changing into a robe, talking about how rough her life was. Of course, there is a lot of Judy in here too, the bluebird/sitting on the stage references. It's all in fun.
