This is my playthrough of "Diddy Kong Racing" for the Nintendo 64.
I'm doing character playthroughs. That means I'm using every character on a seperate playthrough.
I'm playing as Diddy Kong. He is a young monkey and the main character. He's my most favorite character.
Next character playthrough is Tiptup.

Part 1 of 22:
- Story Intro
- Timber's Island
- Ancient Lake
- Fossil Canyon
- Jungle Falls
- Hot Top Volcano
Timber's Island:
I collected 4 Golden Balloons, like always.
Ancient Lake:
Very easy to win without Zippers. Got the key and did not restart.
Fossil Canyon:
Easy to win without Zippers.
Jungle Falls:
Easy to win without Zippers, like always.
Hot Top Volcano:
Easy to win without Zippers, as always.

Diddy Kong's stats
- Weight group: Middle
- Acceleration: 3 ~ Average
- Turning: 3 ~ Average
- Top Speed: 3 ~ Average
Diddy Kong is completely average out of the other characters. He is one of the recommended characters to use at the very start of this game.

How the game works:
AIs cheat by using a power up whenever you do, as well as honking the horn. 60% of the time, there is always a chance that you will be hit a homing missile. If you get enough distance in 1st place, the AIs will stop hitting Zippers behind you.
Rules of play:
- Takes no damage (no getting hit by weapons, no crashing, no bouncing off the ice, no flying into obstacles, et cetera)
- No race losses
- No restarts (even after getting the key needed to unlock battle stages)
- Hits no Zippers in normal races and silver coin challenges
- Uses no blue balloon boosts in normal races and silver coin challenges
NOTE: I didn't use Zippers or blue balloon boosts for the normal races and silver coin challenges, like in my original walkthrough. The only time I use them is when I'm getting the key to unlock a battle stage, and when I'm doing the trophy race. 10 bananas are more than enough to win normal races and silver coin challenges. Yes, bananas do increase the top speed of the character that you're using.

Just a quick question, do the bananas really make you go faster?
