Mitsubishi Lancer WRC05 on tarmac

It's been 6 years since Mitsubishi retired from WRC. Many fans wait for their come back, but still the company is going under a reconstruction.

What's good is that they still keep the WRC car of their final year. However, 6 years has been too long. This demonstration started off with malfunction of transmission, and then ECU. So while they let other rally cars demonstrate first, they did their best to fix the problems... and this video is what they showed me. Looks good!

A few very lucky audiences were chosen to become a co-driver during this demo. One of them was interviewed after the ride, and her comment was "Astonishing! I had no idea which way this car will make its next turn!".

In racing, general rule is function over form. Best specs matter, not the looks but I was just commenting the aesthetics.

@FrikZz0r it has a function, and this car is not a regular EVO, this was specially Designed to compete in the WRC05. you cannot buy this version like a regular Evo1 - Evo10 cars....

@DZoneTV That managing guy who works near the top is a huge idiot, where does he think all the innovation comes for road cars? oh right its definitely not motorsport.... I hate Mitsubishi even though I have an Evo myself

Apparently, Mitsubishi has plans to go the boring route (electric/hybrid). So we probably will never see a return of a new WRC car from Mitsubishi if the go that way.

Also, one of the managing guys who works near the top said that competing in motorsport is a waste of time.
