Pitlochry a solid town with a stone-built Victorian air. One of the most attractive features of Pitlochry is that it is surrounded by mountains. Pitlochry is a justifiably popular place. It has a very wide range of facilities, a wide choice of accommodation, and a great deal to do whatever the weather. http://www.scottish-towns.co.uk/perthshire/pitlochry/

  • Compared with my neighborhood, their hills. The "mountains" here in California are over a mile high - some are over 2 miles high. The tallest mountains in Scotland look like hills, but they're really nice hills. There is no "real" definition of what make a mound a "hill" or "mountain", but in the UK, 600 meters is a general cutoff. I think these, then, would qualify as mountains.
