Metal Coalition closed in 01' because of a fire at a venue. Don't attempt to fool me, I've been a music producer in Vancouver for 6 years and currently reside in North Vancouver. I know the ups and downs of British Columbia's Metal scene.
There is no such thing as "real" Metal. You either like it or you don't. But judging certain Metal subgenre's as "real" is a slap in the face to all Metalheads.
