This is one of my more favorite hits from 1988.
Wild, Wild, West was a number hit on the Billboard Charts. The band consists of Trevor Steel, John Holliday, Johnnie Christo and Milan Zekavica. This single is off of the groups second album with EMI records Wild, Wild West. The beat is great on this song! Plus, Trevor is totally hot! The Escape Club has a myspace and facebook fan sites. I remember first hearing this one as a kid of 14...it was a lazy Saturday afternoon. I was on my way to a Boy Scout can drive when this song played over the car radio. I later went out and bought the album--this was back in the glorious days of wax. These lyrics, esp. the rapid-fire bit, in the bridge, which we were certain was dirty, were what passed for edgy in 1989. To use the word "sex" in a song seemed perfectly scandalous back then. Boy, howdy, have times changed.
