@emiliaseben Either that...or she couldn't take the stress...but still, a mother who's child is missing, wouldn't leave this world without finding her child. If my son went missing, I would never stop til I did find him.

Not wanting her son, or even hating being a mother to him, does not mean she killed him. Not every missing child's parent is the lovable emotional type. Usually people who are raised in a bubble world of sunshine and roses are incapable of understanding that not everyone is cheery and personable. Even an out going loud mouthed and popular soccer mom is capable of murder, but no one would suspect her because she looks and talks just right.

It seems to me, Melinda did not want this child or to be a mother. Instead of kill herself she killed the baby but when she felt she was not going to get away with it, rather than face her family and go to jail, she killed herself.

Maybe she didn't kill him with a shot gun,maybe she was in some kind of custody battle with her ex husband and she didn't want her husband to have Trenton so she gave him to someone she knew and didn't tell where he was and made up some story about him being abducted and couldn't handle the guilt or stress so she took her own life!
