Damn, no matter how many times I try, Chai still kicks my ass in the arcade. Props to you.

Just practice all your kicks to a moderate level. Then when fighting him mix it all up and use the leg sweep often.. Be sure to block as well.

I have defeated Chai before. This is a way to do it - purchase Crawl Cyclone from Bunkado Antiques Shop, then train it to advanced and set it to R. Dodge when he attacks and use Crawl Cyclone to defend yourself. You can also throw him to give you an advantage. It took a long time for me to beat him, but it was worth it.

I couldn't beat Chai how many years back when I first played the game, but I did a few months ago when I took it out for another playthrough. Nice parrying skills you got there.
