Here's the thing: Most cartoons nowadays are horrible compared to classics such as ducktales. The main difference is that old cartoons were SMART. If a cartoon is stupid, when you see it again ten yrs later, you'll gag. On the contrary, if a cartoon is SMART, when you see it ten yrs later, you'll feel depressed, nostalgic and miss your childhood.
Gag or whine, you decide! -shot-
Horrible joke aside, there's one thruth, and one thruth only: I'll never understand Donald as long as i live :|
the triplets mom is don's sister, Della Duck. The father is currently unnamed. If you see the firts appearance of the triplets, don's receives a note from Della asking him to take care of the boys for a while because their dad is in the hospital due to a prank the triplets did, That little while apparently became an adoption ;P
That's true about me, and I'm nowhere near as rich as Scrooge is! This is where Donald Duck and Slackjaw Snorehead have their respective uncles beat hands-down--what good is being wealthy if all that wealth does is make just about every family member want 2 see you fall on your ass? I've also commited something else 2 memory--go first class or any heirs you leave behind definitely will! I'm not saying the wealthy person should party 24/7--I'm saying that money was also made 2 B spent and used!
I've never actually heard any references 2 "Chinatown" in "DuckTales, " mistertakeda, but thanks 4 mentioning it because the triplets could have used that advice in the "Duckman of Aquatraz" episode as could Mad Dog McGirk and Mama McGirk. Check out the episode "Duckman of Aquatraz" as well, and let me know if there are any "Chinatown" references.
I agree--"Chinatown" is a legend-worthy classic! And its sequel "The Two Jakes" works well as a companion film 2 "Chinatown." BTW, I think it's why the ducks are the centerpiece of the series--the title IS called "DuckTales" because of the ducks. But you're right--I don't get this either since dogs, pelicans, and chickens are put in secondary roles and 4 the most part the ducks run the show! If I was a dog, I'd move everything possible 2 outflank the world's 2 wealthiest duckmen as only I can!
