Play it Through - Metal Gear Part 1

Hey everyone on this edition of Play it Through its Metal Gear on the nes brought to us by Ultra and Konami. Even though this was considered just a crappy port from the original MSX version this was the first game I am sure many of us played in the Metal Geat franchise. Even though I am sure many of us were not quite sure what we were doing in the game at the time we grow to love it nontheless. Enjoy!

Just beat this again yesterday I like the Nes version just as much as the MSX it's different enough to be it's own game yet retains what makes Metal Gear great. Finding that hidden building to get to Petro took me forever.

I always wondered why they drop you with 3 other guys, since in the C 64 and DOS version of it they only drop Snake and afaik in the MSX version you actually swim in front of the fortress and dont need to walk through the jungle.

One thing that remained from this video though. The .85 frequency from your superior.

Always wanted to see this played through. I tried it myself but simply sucked at it. So disorientating and so totally different to what I was used to. Guess I shoulda played it at the time, eh?

Gotta love how Big Boss calls you with the "No shit Sherlock" style messages. Still, better than "If you want to go up or down a ladder..."

It keeps things interesting. If your'e gonna watch a silent playthrough might as well just play the game.
