  • When i vibrato my whole guitar is shaking, what should i do to prevent this?

  • @Laukenpauken As long as you're still in control of the guitar, its ok if it shakes slightly.

  • @TomFontana Also, when i vibrato should i release my thumb at the back of the neck? It helps me alot, but it feels like i'm dong it wrong, i just dont want to learn it the wrong way, vibrato is a big problem for me becouse i thought that you didn't have to bend the string fast and i just like vibrated my finger and now i'm used to that.

  • @Laukenpauken Well, you would want to have some sort of grasp on the neck, just so you stay in full control. If you release the guitar neck and just press down and wiggle the string, you would be pressing the neck towards yourself, and have to counteract that with your other hand or your body. Thats not really good.

  • with the bend can u push it down too?

  • @skullmetalheavy Yes, if you are bending the lower strings, but you don't do that very often. For the higher strings, you can't really bend downwards, since there isn't enough space. You can do small slurs though, there's space for that.
